Regeneration Nashville

Year : 2023

Project Name : Regeneration Nashville

Location : Goodlettsville, TN

THE VISION

Regeneration Nashville was a growing congregation with a big calling and they needed a permanent home large enough to hold it. Rather than starting from a bare lot, they set their sights on a piece of Nashville that most people had written off: a dated, single-story retail building sitting empty across from a fading regional mall.

Where others saw 96,000 square feet of old block-and-metal showroom, the church saw a sanctuary. Our job was to help them see it clearly, build it wisely, and rally their people to make it real.

THE CHALLENGE

The existing structure was everything a modern church building is not: a low, wide, windowless retail shell built in 1971, with 17-foot ceilings, loading docks, and a cavernous open floor plate. Converting it into an inspiring place of worship meant solving two very different problems at the same time:

  1. Design a building — reimagine an enormous retail box into a warm, functional, technology-rich campus with a sanctuary, kids and youth spaces, guest services, and room to grow.

  2. Rally a church — this was a public, faith-defining leap that the entire congregation would watch, pray over, and help fund. The vision had to be communicated so compellingly that people would give toward it.

Most firms can do one of those. This project needed both.

WHAT WE DID

Design & architecture. We reimagined the entire footprint, moving from existing conditions to a proposed floor plan to a full construction set and worked hand-in-hand with the project's architect of record and construction team through permitting, inspections, fire protection, and value engineering that kept the vision on budget without watering it down.

Seeing it before building it. Before a single wall moved, we produced photorealistic 3D renderings and animated walkthroughs of the future sanctuary, foyer, kids check-in, baptistry, and exterior. These weren't just pretty pictures they became the project's north star for design decisions and the single most powerful tool for casting vision to the congregation.

An immersive worship environment. We designed and delivered large-scale LED video walls throughout the campus, the main sanctuary, the youth room, kids ministry, and a striking guest-services and merchandise foyer along with the stage and structural design to support it all, driven by broadcast-quality processing. The result is a space that feels current, cinematic, and alive.

Spaces designed for people. Sanctuary, youth, a next-generation kids check-in and play area, a welcoming foyer and guest services, a baptistry, dedicated prayer space, and even a podcast/production area. Every zone shaped around how the church actually gathers, serves, and grows.

"Destination Miracle"  the vision & capital campaign. This is where the "& Beyond" earns its name. A transformation this ambitious only happens when the whole church is behind it, so we built and ran Regeneration's capital campaign end to end: brand and logo system, a printed vision booklet, pledge cards and giving materials, dinner-with-the-pastors invitations, a dedicated campaign website, weekly building-update videos, filmed member testimonies, tent-revival and camp-meeting recap films, and a steady rhythm of social and email content. We gave the congregation a way to see the future, believe in it, and give toward it week after week.

THE RESULT

A vacant, half-century-old retail building is becoming a vibrant, technology-forward worship center for one of the Nashville area's fastest-growing congregations Just as importantly, Regeneration had the story, the visuals, and the campaign to bring their people along for every step of the journey.
